Packaging and storage— Preserve in well-filled,tight containers.
Solubility test— One mLis miscible with 1mLof chloroform without turbidity.Add 20mLof 90percent alcohol to this mixture:the resulting liquid is neutral or acid to moistened litmus paper and,upon standing at 20,deposits crystals within 5minutes.
Specific gravity á841ñ: between 0.848and 0.863at 30compared with water at 15.
Angular rotation á781Añ: between -1and -4.
Refractive index á831ñ: between 1.457and 1.463at 30.
