Specific gravity á841ñ: not more than 0.799,indicating not less than 99.0%of C6H12O.

Distilling range,Method Iá721ñ: between 114and 117,a correction factor of 0.046per mm being applied as necessary.

Acidity— Mix 15.0mLwith 15mLof neutralized alcohol,add phenolphthalein TS,and titrate with 0.050Nsodium hydroxide:not more than 0.40mLis required for neutralization.

Limit of nonvolatile residue— Evaporate 50mLin a tared porcelain dish on a steam bath,and dry at 105for 1hour:the weight of the residue does not exceed 4mg (0.008%).
